A school for the future

We have witnessed through letters and pictures from our sponsored children their progress and educational growth in this safe child-centred learning environment. We urge any fellow donors to join us in supporting this vital project, with the understanding that each educated individual is more likely to contribute positively to their community, creating a ripple effect of progress and development.

Our students need your help.

Our classrooms and facilities are small, dilapidated, and inadequate.

We need to build a complete new school to provide our students with the space and facilities needed to learn, play and grow.

The challenges

Inadequate facilities
Our school currently faces significant infrastructural challenges. The existing building and classrooms are too small and too few to accommodate our growing student body effectively. This cramped environment hinders our ability to provide high-quality, engaging educational experiences.

Exposure to elements
The upper level of our school building is open to the weather, exposing students and resources to environmental conditions. This disrupts daily activities, especially during the monsoon, and keeps the children inside, in very small classrooms for the whole school day. The students get wet just going from their classroom to the toilet.

Limited, safe outdoor space
Playground space is severely restricted, which limits our students’ ability to engage in necessary physical activities that are crucial for their physical and emotional development.

 Insufficient staff and parent areas
Our current facilities offer little space for staff to meet, and no designated areas for parent meetings. This challenges our ability to conduct staff training and engage with parents effectively.

Lack of proper kitchen facilities
The absence of a kitchen restricts our ability to provide nutritious, cooked meals for the children which are essential for the wellbeing and development.

Our solution

Safe and engaging educational environment
By addressing these infrastructural issues, we aim to build our new school as a safe, attractive, expansive and more engaging place for learning. Enhancements to our facilities will allow us to deliver an education that not only meets but exceeds the needs of our students.

Becoming a lighthouse school
Our goal is to become a lighthouse school in the region, serving as a hub for professional development. By upgrading our facilities, we can offer better training opportunities for teachers, which in turn benefits the students and community

Expanding opportunities
With enhanced facilities, we can offer a broader range of activities and learning experiences, ensuring our students are well-prepared to meet the challenges ahead. We don’t currently have a library nor a science lab – both are essential for the educational development of our children as they progress through their education.
